Grace #1: i thank You God for most this amazing

Welcome to bluetruedream, a place of grace. Every day I will post an observation, a picture, a poem or inspiration, that provided me an instant of beauty. As a writer, I seek to find meaning in the space between instants, the pause, what musicians call the golden moment. Consider this space a sanctuary of sorts, a place to breathe for a minute before heading into our over-full, over-busy lives. Consider this space an altar -- leave your blessings and graces in the comments.

I hope to post 1000 graces. Why 1000? I think of 1000 origami cranes, 1000 candles flickering in cathedrals, 1000 pennies dropped into fountains. I hope by the time I write my 1000th grace I will, perhaps, have found my own.

The first grace, the poem that inspired it all...

i thank You God for most this amazing

i thank You God for most this amazing
day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes

(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun's birthday; this is the birth
day of life and of love and wings: and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)

how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any--lifted from the no
of all nothing--human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?

(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

e.e. cummings

Namaste...

  2. Linda, one of Cathy's two or three heard her pleasant plea. 1000 blessings upon your warm dancing spirit, evoking a calm in a frenzy, a soft smile in a clench . . . moreover, a reflection to hold one more intent 'pon what truly matters.

Lovin' that blue true dream o'sky as well, as what your blue pools are doin' to my thought'splash, over right, over left. Flourish dear Lady in all your glories.

    Namaste Linda
